P.F. Chang’s Rolls Out New Outdoor Dining!

P.F. Chang’s is an Asian restaurant concept founded on making food from scratch every day in every restaurant and has over 200 locations nationwide with a few locations worldwide.

Westcoat representative, Gary Dunn, worked with the architect who selected Westcoat’s Stamp It system. Gary then contacted fellow Westcoat representative, Mark Haen, to find a local applicator to complete the remodeling of the Scottsdale location.

Thanks to the architectural firm, Menemsha Solutions, Westcoat is set to aid in the completion of the outdoor areas for the other 200 P.F. Chang’s stores over the next two years.

Project Details

Applicator, Trident Concrete Solutions based in Arizona, completed the installation. P.F. Chang’s was hurt severely during the pandemic due to not having any outside dining options at most of their restaurants.

Due to the lack of outside dining, the restaurant wanted to implement new renovations for their over 200 locations in the US. They needed to design and create more outdoor dining environments that matched the inside of their restaurants.

The applicators used an epoxy base (EC-12) to which they broadcasted with sand to add texture. They then used Westcoat’s TC-6 concrete colored with TC-40 colorant in Adobe using the Stamp-It™ system. They followed it with a Westcoat water-based stain to then finish the project with an acrylic lacquer.
