As an airplane hangar, Million Air San Antonio required a durable flooring system that could handle the weight of private jets. Years of heavy traffic certainly have worn down the floor’s surface and needed smoothing out, as planes are delicate machines that require good conditions to maintain their functionality. Westcoat Rep Chris Doran recommended the use of a High Epoxy Build overcoat system using Westcoat products EC-12 Epoxy Primer and EC-95G Gloss Polyurethane Topcoat. QCA Smith’s Painting installed the system and was capable of thinning the material to keep costs lower. The achievement of a custom color and use of EC-95G gave the floor a luxurious, glossy look that is sure to fit Million Air’s high-end image.

EC-12 Epoxy Primer is a multi-purpose epoxy primer that can be used to prime several types of existing coatings. Its high-strength and moisture-tolerant properties make it an all-around standard concrete primer and sealer.

EC-95G Polyurethane Topcoat is an optional topcoat designed for professional use only and is specified as the finish coat in moderate to severe chemical environments or in heavy traffic areas.
