Waterproof Decks for HOA

Leaky decks and walkways were a problem for the Monte Verano HOA. Nor Cal rep, Michael Mulnix took on the challenge with industry partners DLC Construction Management to specify ALX as their solution for a durable and Class A Fire Rated waterproofing system.

• – Meets Class A Fire Test ASTM E-108
• – Meets One-Hour Fire Rating ASTM E-119

Installation

DLC Construction Management had specified ALX before and were familiar with its proven track record and warranty for this type of project. EmpireWorks Reconstruction and Painting installed 15,000 square feet of ALX Standard on all elevated plywood landings and walkways.

Also installed was the 11-10 System on all stairs throughout the multi-family complex. The 11-10 system was a simple fix to match the stairs to the decks by coating them with an acrylic and epoxy in the same color as the rest of the project. All parties worked with the HOA to make final decisions on color and textures.
