Newly Renovated Community Building in Bay Area

A once neglected boathouse has been reopened for community use after nearly a decade of being closed to the public. This $3.2 million renovation revitalized 7,200 square feet of the 56 year-old structure. Spaces were reconfigured and with the newly segmented areas came the need for new flooring throughout.

The San Francisco Bureau of Architecture specified Westcoat for the interior flooring as well as the exterior balcony deck and walkways. Terry of TNT Resurfacing Concrete, a Westcoat QCA, lead a team of installers to bring their vision to life.

In the bathrooms (not pictured), the floors needed to be leveled so Westcoat’s Level-It system was used to create a smooth blank canvas. Westcoat’s Dubro, or double broadcast system, was used create a seamless and durable floor.

In comes our metallic epoxy system, Liquid Dazzle and the Dazzle Effects to the process. Liquid Dazzle was applied in the lobby while the Dazzle Effects was applied in the hallways. The two tone process of Dazzle effects creates a durable yet playful floor.

The gorgeous entry way showcases a gorgeous Fast Stain Grind, Stain, and Seal application on the existing concrete. Our EC-95 Polyurethane Topcoat will protect this floor and main entrance to the building for many years to come.

The exterior balcony and walkways were revitalized with a more custom and elegant look. After fixing some more beat up areas with our Slope and Patch concrete patching system, our Texture-Crete decorative concrete system was installed with a beautiful blend of Water-Based Stains.
