Lee was raised on a small horse farm near Portland and graduated from Oregon State University, where he received a bachelors in Industrial Engineering. He worked as an Industrial Engineer for a short time after college before transitioning into Technical Sales.

He was previously at  L.M. Scofield for 7 years working in the decorative concrete market. Two years prior to Scofield, he was working for a contractor that installed both decorative concrete scopes as well as coatings for concrete.
