Modern Office Demands A Dazzling Office Kitchen Floor

When we moved our Westcoat headquarters, it was unanimous that having a full kitchen, with a dazzling office kitchen floor, would be such an added benefit of our new building. We wanted the best for our new home. The remodel of the upstairs consisted of removing the very old thin and worn carpet which revealed a wood substrate. We installed carpet in our offices and a ground aggregate flooring in the hallways. For the kitchen, we wanted something that would really pop and tie in with the silver appliances and white cabinetry.

Protecting 1st Story with 2nd Story Interior Waterproofing

Since the floor was wood, it needed to be transformed into a concrete base for Liquid Dazzle Epoxy Coat (EC) system to be installed. Liquid Dazzle is Westcoat’s premier decorative epoxy floor coating system. Our crew first installed ALX Interior Plywood Waterproofing (WP) system which not only waterproofs but allows for another system to be installed over it. ALX Interior is the installation of the waterproof sheet membrane, metal lath, base coat and slurry coat leaving a concrete canvas for the metallic epoxy application.

Liquid Dazzle was applied in Graphite creating a dynamic effect. This unique floor is not only dazzling, it is waterproof, chemical resistant and durable. The result is a gorgeous and long-lasting floor that will be used daily for years to come.
