The Problem

Grind and seal concrete was installed at McCormick and Schmick’s in Houston, Texas which was in need of concrete repairs and resurfacing. The restaurant boasts fresh seafood and aged steaks that can be enjoyed in the beautiful outdoor dining area. 

Custom Concrete Coatings (CCC) was called on to bring the 1200 square foot outdoor space at Town and Country Village back to life. They decided to simply grind and seal as the existing concrete was previously stained.  

The Solution

The outdoor patio and bar area concrete was prepped by diamond grinding and power washing before patching was done as needed. To patch, TC-2 Smooth Texture Concrete and WP-81 Cement Modifier were used to patch the areas and create a smooth surface.

The freshly patched concrete needed to match existing colored concrete, those areas were then stained with SC-35 Water-Based Stain in Mahogany. The prepped, patched, and ground concrete was sealed with SC-65 Clear Water-Based Polyurethane and the patio was restored.
