How metallic epoxy can make your floor dazzle

Vegas Ink was looking to transform it’s tattoo shop floor and they chose Liquid Dazzle metallic epoxy after being unsure about going with an acid stain. They were really looking to WOW their customers and Liquid Dazzle did just that!

Getting the job done

As you can imagine getting any decorative floor done right and on time has its own set of challenges. When that floor is in the middle of one the busiest cities in the world – you must be willing to step up the the challenge!

This job was done at the Vegas Ink tattoo shop at the planet Hollywood on the Las Vegas strip during the 4th of July weekend. After showing numerous samples of the usual acid stained floor, it became clear that the designers wanted a one of a kind look.

It was then that MJ Construction contacted us at Design Concrete.

After seeing the Liquid Dazzle samples, it was a slam dunk.

We began by skim coating the floor with TC-4, and patching, we primed twice with EC-12 in black, then added Liquid Dazzle silver, and swirled in some graphite. We finished by applying EC-95 clear epoxy topcoat to protect.

Job challenges were mainly keeping tipsy Las Vegas tourists from poking around job site, one tourist actually came in expecting to have a tattoo done!

After using several metallic epoxies, we find that the Liquid Dazzle, when used as directed, is almost foolproof. The pigments stay suspended, and flow out to a glass like finish every time. We found no need to disperse, or do anything else to it.
