Ryan Southard, owner of Monarch Concrete Coatings, shared this pool rehab job with us today. Ryan and his crew used our Water-Based Stains and our SC-66 Satin Polyurethane Sealer to transform these old fading rock features into a work of art reminiscent of the mountains of Arizona.

The client wanted us to take his faded Art Rock around his pool and turn it into the Sedona Arizona Mountains.

We powerwashed entire rock area. We the applied Westcoat Adobe Stain with a chip brush and sponge. We then applied some copper stain where needed. Finished with SC66.

Water-Based Stain: Westcoat’s SC-35 Water-Based Stain is a water-based color stain product. An easy one step way to stain safely, unlike acid stain no need for rinsing or neutralizing. No caustic ingredients. Available in 16 standard colors from natural earth tones to vibrant reds and blues. Colors can be blended to create custom colors. Designed to be used as a coloring system for Westcoat’s Texture Crete, ALX & MACoat systems and over existing concrete in light foot traffic, residential areas. SC-35X can be used in conjunction with Acid Stain as a highlight color.

SC-66 Water-Based Polyurethane Sealer: A two component, high solids, water-based, polyurethane sealer. This product provides properties equal to that of traditional urethanes with fewer health and environmental concerns. The UV, mar, and chemical resistant nature of this product will cause it to outperform most other types of sealers. SC-66 is specified as the finish coat in moderate to severe chemical environments or in heavy traffic areas. Due to the low odor of the water-based polyurethane, it is user friendly and ideal for interior applications. Apply SC-66 Satin as a coating over Westcoat epoxy & urethane floor coatings. SC-66 Satin is also used as a topcoat on a variety of other substrates such as concrete, Texture-Crete and stained concrete flooring when applied over a clear epoxy or urethane. Use on decorative floors, garage floors, industrial floors, restaurant floors and automotive service areas.
