Harrah’s Rincon Casino

The poolside restaurant at Harrah’s Rincon Casino received a facelift this summer. The restaurant floor went from boring tile to a vibrant, unique concrete coating with a whimsical flower-like design.

General Coatings removed the existing tile and prepped the floor by diamond grinding the concrete. Westcoat EC-12 Epoxy Primer was installed followed by two coats of TC-1 Basecoat Cement. Two layers of Westcoat TC-4 Fine Textured Cement was troweled flat with SC-36 Fast Stain in light brown applied. Then, this unique design was cut into the floor by hand with Westcoat EC-38 Liquid Dazzle in ruby used to color the petals. Finally for the ultimate in protection, the floor was sealed with EC-32 High Build Clear Epoxy Topcoat followed by two coats of SC-65 Water-Based Polyurethane Sealer.

The result was a one-of-a-kind, colorful floor that can withstand the foot traffic of this popular casino.
