Jeff Bach at Bach Custom Coatings sent us this great before and after of a residential patio.
This 2,500 Sq. Ft patio consisted of three pours that were performed at various times. The result was inconsistent and the homeowner attempted to remedy with a low-grade stain and sealer. This resulted in an overall blotchy look and the sealer didn’t bond. Thats when they called Jeff for a solution.
Jeff and his team diamond ground the existing surface, removing the failing sealer and stain. After they finished surface preparation, they primed the surface with EC-12 Epoxy primer & seeded it with 70 grit silica sand. Next they applied a base coat of TC-5 Grout Texture Cement and applied a skip trowel texture coat using TC-4 Fine Texture Cement. The result was a custom, yet skid resistant surface, perfect for the adjacent pool deck. Once the texture coat had been completed, they applied SC-35X in Shale to create a clean and elegant look to the new surface. The project was finished with EC-95 Polyurethane Topcoat, resulting in a decorative and durable transformation.
