A green room gets all made up.

Normally the thought of an protective epoxy coating might conjure up a garage floor or an industrial space but when Kara Gee of Smith Gee Studio was seeking something elegant and durable for the brand new Acsend Amphitheater project she new she wanted Westcoat on the floors.

Getting spec’d!

Our Nashville based rep, Matt Ranzau, presented our entire line of coating systems to Kara who had a particular project in mind that she wanted to use Westcoat.

Kara decided to go with our Liquid Dazzle in taupe for all dressing room areas. She also preferred a less shiny finish and was introduced to our Satin EC-96 Polyurethane Topcoat – perfect for this high traffic space.

Spec’d now what?

The plans were set in motion and now the project needed an applicator. A large high profile job calls for an applicator with expertise and integrity to get the job done right and in a professional manner. Specialty Coatings, Inc, outbid the competition and won the award on this project to install our Westcoat Liquid Dazzle system.

It’s in the details

Working under Skanska, the general contractor, Greg and James at Specialty Coatings and their crew installed the metallic epoxy floor on brand new concrete over the course of five days. Installation occurred while working around other trades and areas with high end finishes that needed to be protected from construction debris.
