- Project Profile
Property managers and developers throughout the U.S. turn to Pavecon for a higher level of competence and craftsmanship. Since 1992, they have earned a reputation as one of the most respected, and respectful, paving companies in the nation.
Recently, Pavecon built a new facility for in-house repairs of their heavy equipment and fleet vehicles. Bobby Miller with Pavecon Building Services reached out to Mark Petrikat with SSI, a distributor of Westcoat material for flooring solutions.
SSI contacted Kevin Ross, the Regional Sales Manager for Westcoat, and scheduled a job walk at the Farmers Branch, TX facility.
Urethane Cement Flooring Solution Presented
After walking the facility and understanding Pavecon’s needs, Kevin recommended our Temper-Crete Urethane Cement system based off the fact that the facility had new concrete and wanted ultimate protection and a system that would withstand the day to day operations.
The Urethane Cement Flooring Preparation
Pavecon self-performed the Temper-Crete install over the approximately 7,800 square feet existing interior concrete surface. The concrete was shot blasted to an approx. CSP 4-5 and vacuumed clean. The Temper-Crete was used to pre-fill all joints, cracks and spalls and the repairs were ground flush. The Temper-Crete was then poured at 1/4″ thickness and allowed to cure overnight. Once cured, the pour was prepped by lightly grinding to open the very dense Temper-Crete surface and vacuumed clean. A seal coat of EC-95 Cape Cod Gray was applied. A final topcoat of EC-95 Cape Cod Gray was rolled on with CA-31 Large Safe Grip for added slip-resistance.
